IT'S A GIRL!!!

Well, we were a little surprised at the US to find out that we are having another girl!! But after some time to absorb the info, we are a LOT excited!! Tim definitely never pictured himself with 2 little girls running around...but God knows best!! :) Oh yeah, we're open to suggestions for names if anyone has any to offer.

16 wks

Well, things are going well. I've grown out of all of my "normal" clothes. Although, I guess that's fitting since there doesn't seem to be much that feels normal about this whole process. ;) So maternity clothes it is. Thankfully, I have many friends who have let me borrow their maternity clothes, since most of mine are sweaters and such from being pregnant in the fall and winter with Emma Cate. Poor planning, huh? June 5th is the next ultrasound, and hopefully we'll find out boy or girl. Until then, we'll continue to play the name game!!! :)

15 wks

Everything's going well. I'm feeling good and my belly is starting to grow! Back to the Dr on Tues.
How baby's growing: At around 4 inches long, crown to rump, baby now weighs about 2 1/2 ounces. Busy inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid, which will help develop the air sacs in the lungs. Baby can move all his joints and limbs. That means the hands are more functional, too. Sweat glands are appearing, and although eyelids are fused shut, baby can sense light. Baby's taste buds are beginning to form.

12 weeks!!

Well, we are very happy and relieved to say that we have reached the end of the 1st trimester. Most of the nausea is gone, and I'm starting to regain some energy. I feel functional again :) I had an appt yesterday and was able to hear the baby's heartbeat (high 150s/low 160s). Yeah! Everything looks good so far. In 6 wks I'll have another US and hopefully be able to find out boy or girl!!
How baby's growing:
"Baby's hit the 2-inch mark (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce. Baby may have acquired more reflexes by now, including sucking, and he/she'll even squirm if you prod your abdomen, though you still won't be able to feel his/her movement for several weeks."

New Baby Morgan!! 10 wks

We are very excited to announce that we are, again, expecting! So far, baby looks good, and is already driving Mommy crazy. I have been sooo sick! Hopefully, only 2 more weeks of nausea and I'll be through with this yucky part of pregnancy! They say excess nausea is a sign of a healthy pregnancy...so I guess I should be thankful? :/
How baby's growing:
"Peanut" is no longer an embryo, barely the size of a kumquat — just an inch or so long, crown to bottom — and weighs less than a quarter of an ounce, now has completed the most critical portion of development. (Yeah!)
This is the beginning of the so-called fetal period, a time when the tissues and organs rapidly grow and mature. Vital organs — the liver, kidney, intestines, brain, and lungs —
are now in place and starting to function. The liver continues to make blood cells, and the yolk sac, which previously supplied these cells, is no longer needed and begins to disappear. Fingers are now completely separated; arms bend at the elbow and curve slightly; hands are
flexed at the wrist and meet over the heart; legs are lengthening; and feet may be long enough to meet in front of the body. Baby is busily swallowing amniotic fluid and kicking!
